Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This page exists to set expectations before you join the world.

BlocksAlot is not designed to be balanced, protected, or curated.
It is designed to endure.

New here? Start with How to Join or read the Constitution first.

What is BlocksAlot?

BlocksAlot is a persistent Minecraft world.

There are no seasonal resets, no map wipes, and no progress erasure.
What players build, destroy, trade, or abandon becomes part of a continuous history that lasts for years.

The world changes through player action, not administrative control.

Does the world ever reset or wipe?

No.

The BlocksAlot world has never been wiped and will not be wiped in the future.

Cities may decay.
Empires may fall.
Infrastructure may collapse.

History is never erased.

Can I play casually?

Yes.

Casual players are welcome on BlocksAlot.

You do not need to play daily, join a faction, or compete for power.
However, the world continues even when you are offline.

If you are comfortable with permanence and consequence, you are welcome here.

What happens if I stop playing for months or years?

Your builds remain exactly where you left them.

They may be discovered, altered, repurposed, or destroyed by other players over time.
This is not punishment — it is history.

Returning players often find the world changed, but never reset.

Are there protected claims or land ownership systems?

No.

Outside of the Capital and spawn areas, there are no protected claims.

Territory exists only if players can:

  • Maintain it

  • Defend it

  • Support it through infrastructure or alliances

Land control is established through presence and consequence, not plugins.

Is griefing allowed?

There are no protected claims outside the Capital.

Destruction, theft, and conflict are not violations.
They are part of the world’s history.

The world governs itself.

Are exploits, dupes, or hacks allowed?

Yes.

If an action can be performed within the game, it is treated as part of the world.

Broken mechanics, exploits, duplication, and unintended interactions are considered world events, not rule violations.

Outcomes are never rolled back.

If something exists, the world adapts forward — never backward.

Will players be punished for exploiting mechanics?

No.

Players are not punished for using mechanics that exist in the game, whether intended or unintended.

If the world allows an action, its consequences become part of history.
Responsibility lies with the world, not with enforcement.

So when does intervention actually happen?

Intervention exists only to protect the server itself.

Actions that target infrastructure rather than gameplay may result in removal, including:

  • Deliberate server-crashing attempts

  • Attacks on availability or stability

  • Abuse that targets hardware, networking, or uptime

  • Real-world threats or platform-level violations

Gameplay outcomes are never enforced.
Server integrity is.

This philosophy is defined in the Constitution.

Can players be banned?

Yes — but never for gameplay.

Players are not banned for:

  • War

  • Raiding

  • Griefing

  • Theft

  • Exploits

  • Duplication

  • Unbalanced power

  • “Unfair” outcomes

Bans exist only for actions that make the server impossible to operate.

Will the economy be fixed or reset if it breaks?

No.

If the economy becomes inflated, damaged, or unstable, it remains that way until players adapt.

There are no economic resets, corrections, or restorations.

History is preserved, not optimized.

Are there admins or moderators?

No.

There are no moderators or administrators.

The owner maintains the server and intervenes only to ensure the world remains online and accessible.

The owner does not decide outcomes.

What game modes are available?

BlocksAlot offers persistent worlds, including Survival and Creative.

Both follow the same core philosophy:

  • No resets

  • No artificial progression wipes

  • Long-term continuity

Each world exists to be shaped by its players over time.

Who should not play on BlocksAlot?

BlocksAlot is not a good fit if you are looking for:

  • Staff-enforced fairness

  • Balance corrections

  • Item restoration

  • Guaranteed safety

  • Protected claims everywhere

  • Frequent resets

This world is designed for players who value consequence, permanence, and uncertainty.

Where can I ask questions or get help?

Discord is available for:

  • Technical issues

  • Announcements

  • General discussion

Gameplay disputes are resolved by the world, not by staff.

Final Clarification

If it happens within the game, it becomes history.
If it threatens the server itself, it is removed.
